How can you tell if you have got a cracked drain pipe?

  1. Watch your home subside as its foundations move
  2. Smell the aroma of raw sewage seeping into your garden
  3. Get a professional team of sewer repair experts to check your drains with the latest CCTV equipment before the crack becomes a real problem

Modern technology is creeeping into every aspect of our lives. Drones may soon be fighting our wars, delivering our shopping, or both at the same time, and we’re constantly under surveillance on CCTV.

At Drain and Sewer Services we’re proud to state that we’ve combined these two technologies together for the good of humankind. We are now using them to make sure your drains aren’t damaged and leaking sewerage and waste water onto your property.

What causes damage to drains and sewers?

Drains and sewers are often decades old and made from earthenware pipe which is vulnerable to cracking. Drains can collapse totally under increased ground pressure from recent building work and tree roots can also damage and invade drains and sewers.

Using the latest technology to detect a crack in your drainpipe

We use the latest in sophisticated, lightweight CCTV equipment which allows us to carry out detailed observations on all sizes of pipes, from the smallest to the largest diameter, with high resolution.

We’ve also designed and built a number of vehicles that can move along your drainage system to carry out a complete CCTV survey to the highest safety and production standards.

We then look at the resulting imagery on screen and provide you with DVD evidence, written reports and mapping, which may help if you need to claim compensation.

We can also assess your drainage system visually where possible, using sonde tracing (a type of sonar) and coloured dye tracing to find leaks.

We don’t just do drains

We have dedicated manpower that specialise in all types of inspections, using our damage detection technology:

  • Sewer and drain pipes
  • Ducting
  • Drainage systems
  • Non-man entry chambers
  • Voids and gaps.
