You can expect to see our crews with their feet firmly planted on the ground working on drains and sewers but look up and you’re just as likely to see them working high up.

Working at heights

Drain and Sewer Services crews are experts in gutter cleaning and repairs for commercial and residential properties. On most occasions we can use specialist equipment such as our Skyvac, which reaches up to 36ft, together with a carbon fibre extendable pole and attached CCTV camera, to assess the work needed and complete any cleaning, with our feet safely planted on the ground. On occasions though, when our work requires us to be at greater height, it’s then necessary to erect a platform to carry out the work and ensure our team works safely whilst elevated.

The right way is the safe way

Our teams can work safely when up high because they are PASMA trained. PASMA is the nationally recognised organisation providing training for the safe and proper way of assembling, using, inspecting and dismantling towers. This means that when working at height, we work safely and in line with health and safety requirements.

It’s not just with heights we go that extra mile to ensure our teams and the people around us are safe while we work. Whether working up high, in confined spaces or on the roadside, we understand the importance of working safely. There are no short cuts when it comes to investing in the right equipment and providing the right safety training to minimise the risks to our teams and guarantee the work will be carried out to the highest standards.

Whether it’s for New Roads and Streetworks (NRSWA) accreditation, the contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), or the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), we continue to invest in health and safety at Drain and Serwer Services
